It started when I was seven…
When I started my career as a professional photographer in 2003, I had already been working for nearly 20 years in the service industry. I always wanted to be a photographer, since I was seven years old after I was bought a Polaroid Camera for Christmas, but my Careers teacher talked me out of it…
I’ve been taking photographs for a long time, but I knew how much I still loved it when the Pandemic hit and I wasn’t allowed to pick up my camera and go to a wedding. As soon as I restrictions allowed, I had my camera in my hand taking photographs of families on their doorsteps!
Bio
I have two passions, taking photographs and writing songs. Both started when I was seven years old and both give me a very similar buzz. I think it’s because they both songwriting and photography involve creating something from nothing.
I consider myself very blessed to make my living from both passions today, as a photographer and Songwriter.
When I started, I didn’t fully understand the value of what I did for a living… That has become apparent as the years have gone by, as people have come back to me to get copies of photographs of loved ones that are no longer with them.
